The Chitwan Experience

  Day 1^st

• Pick up from Sauraha tourist bus park,
• Welcome drink,
• Briefing about tours
• Lunch
• 04:30 hrs: Chitwan introduction with guide, we will take you to the Elephant stable(Hattisar),  to demonstrate how elephants’ meals are prepared and how they eat in the Elephant stable, We will explain the nature and habits of elephants.
• Little nature walk along to Rapti River, possible to see some wildlife
• Sunset view
• 07:00 hrs: Cultural Program  Tharu are indigenous people of Chitwan. Tharu culture is very unique. they show their unique performance.
• 08:30 hrs Dinner( Tharu Dinner)

2^nd day   (Jeep Safari+ Canoeing trip+ jungle walk+ Night Stay in  Jungle)

• 06:00 hrs: wake up call.
• 06:30 hrs will be breakfast. (toast, egg any style, fried potato, tea or coffee). Introduction with guides.
• safety briefing, and Do’s and Don’ts
• 07:00 hrs-11:30hrs.  Jeep will take you through the grassland, forest, and lakes. Jeep will take you to the main lake called LAMI LAKE,TAMORE LAKE which is famous for mass magar crocodiles, many birds, rhinos, deer, bears, and more….
• Crocodile breeding centre: There will be a Break for 25 min to visit the Gharial crocodile breeding centre. For everything guide will assist you,The full safari will be for 4 hrs and our guide will spot wildlife and give you the all information about the flora and fauna of Chiwan National Park.
• Lunch in Jungle
• Canoeing Trip:  Canoeing trip (dough out canoe made from a single trunk of tree) with two guides. And go about an hour canoeing along the Rapt River, Possible to see 2 different types of Crocodile, Rhinos, more or less 50 different types of colourful birds, etc… Guides know the name and information about flora and fauna, we speak English
• Jungle walk : jungle trekking on THE WILDERNESS OF HEART OF JUNGLE TRAIL. Again, before we start the trekking we brief about the Animal’s behaviour and safety idea. And walking style, and jungle communication language. The walking area is plain and we will walk for more or less 2-3 hours. (On the jungle walk we will take you to a possible area where there is water, grass and forest) on the walk sometime we will take you to an observation tower and make you break there.
• 16:00hrs :  We will reach the night-staying tower in the jungle. The night stay tower provides you  an opportunity to see a night-active animal such as the Tiger, Rhino, wild dog, strip hyena etc.
• 08:00 hrs: Dinner

2^nd day      (2hrs Canoeing trip+

jungle walk+ Night Stay in  Jungle) 

• 06:00 hrs: wake up call.
• 06:30 hrs will be breakfast. (toast, egg any style, fried potato, tea or coffee). Introduction with guides.
• safety briefing, and Do’s and Don’ts
• 07:00 hrs: Start Safari, first on the Canoeing trip (dough out Canoeing which is made from a single trunk of a tree)with two guides and one paddler. And go about 8km along the Rapti River, Possible to see 2 different types of crocodiles basking on the bank of the river, Rhinos bathing in the river, more or less 50 different types of colourful birds, Tiger and bears crossing the river, etc.. Guides know the names and information about flora and fauna, they speak English, if They see something they will tell about it and show you.
• 09:00 hrs: Start jungle trekking on THE WILDERNESS OF HEART OF JUNGLE TRAIL. Again, before we start the trekking we brief about the Animal behaviour and safety idea, walking style, and jungle communication language. Little tree climbing training. (jungle survival technique)
• The walking area is plain and we will walk more or less 15km. ( on the jungle walk we will take you to a possible area where there are water, grass, and forest) there will be two guides in a group(max 5 people in a group) , one will walk in front of you and another will walk behind of you, we keep very silent and quiet, we walk slowly and if we hear some sound from any creature we stop and try to find if we feel safe. On walking, if we find any fresh marks from an animal, sometimes we follow it when we feel safe. There are some medicinal & eatable plants in the park guide will show you and tell you about it
• 11:30 hrs: we make a LUNCH break on the observation tower or next to the wetland. There are many observation towers in the park, next to the lake, river, and big grassland. Sometimes we will take you to the tower and we make the break for more than 30 min, it is possible to see some wildlife from the tower so we make wait at the tower
• After having lunch on the tower, you can take a nap on the tower with fresh oxygen for about an hour.
• 01:30 hrs: we will take you on different vegetation like grassland, forest and wetland, sometimes we have to cross a small river, it  is possible to  see many colourful beautiful birds during the trek
• 04:00 hrs: We will reach the night-staying tower in the jungle. The night stay tower provides you with an opportunity to see a night-active animal such as the Tiger, Rhino, wild dog, strip hyena etc.
• 08:00 hrs: Dinner

  3rd day

06:00 hrs : Wake up

06:15 hrs: Bird Watching Chitwan is the best destination for bird watching. The birds found here are Cormorants, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Blue Indian Roller, Hornbills, Stork-billed Kingfishers, Grey headed Eagles, Ruby Cheeked Sunbird, Bengal Florican, Large-tailed Night jar, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Beaters & Lesser Florican etc. More than 500 species have been recorded only in Chitwan.

• 09: 00 hrs: Departure Departure to your destination either Pokhara or Kathmandu.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW.

• You must have a very good level of fitness for this tour as you are required to be outdoors the entire time and be prepared to trek for up to 15-20 km.
• The tour can be done throughout the whole year.
• Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.
• All guests MUST purchase Personal Travel Insurance.
• Guest is to be accompanied by a guide at all times and not allowed to wander on their own in the Jungle.
• The itinerary of the tour is subject to changes due to weather conditions, health & fitness conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
• This tour is not recommended for children under 12 years old as it is much physically demanding during the tour

• Accommodation is clean and with free wifi, a hot shower, mosquito net and air condition
• Overnight necessities such as Towels, Bedding & Blankets will be provided during your stay. We encourage travellers to travel light.
