Nepal’s fifth National Tiger Census begin from December 16 , covering the Chitwan–Parsa, Banke–Bardiya, and Shuklaphanta–Laljhadi corridors using scientific methods. About 2,300 camera traps will monitor tigers, their habitat, and prey across nearly 8,400 square kilometers. Compared to the last census, which showed a significant rise in tiger numbers due to effective conservation efforts, this survey will focus more on habitat quality and long-term ecosystem health.
